Title: Identify this truck
Post by: kingsburgphil on January 02, 2012, 03:14:48 am
As a kid living in LA in the 50's, I'd see a couple of these driving around.

First correct guess wins a cookie  ;)

Phil , to me that appears to be a Powell. A neighbor had one when I was small.       KG

Congrats Keith! You win a cookie.. LoL. Seriously, percentage wise few people have ever seen one in the flesh. They were made in Compton, CA
and I lived next door in Gardena as a child. I recall them as being the first modern mini truck, albeit lacking the fit and finish we see nowadays.

PM me a shipping address and I'll send you some cookies  :D

Phil, a buddy in high school had a Morris panel truck , cool as hell and twice as slow. lots of adventures in that little turd. You probably saw it , he lived on Katella east of  Renfree VW after H.S.   It was brown in color.... appropriate color.     :)
