Someone mentioned on the live chat that Richie broke rocker arm during the drive? Any info?

Just caught up on instagram.
Richie is out of the competition due to the rocker arm failure. There was a concern there may have been a bit of valve/piston contact so didn't want to risk it.
Sorry to hear this Richie/Jo

Back home now, was really happy with that 1st pass, was far from perfect as boost on line was to low and then had a little pedal to control wheelie[still went 1.33 60ft on back tyres]  and boost was little lower than needed in 4th gear hence low mph. These we all simple things I could have corrected as week went on but wasn't to be after rocker snapped on drive near 2nd checkpoint and no chance to fix it. Sucked as ordered some new rockers a year ago but JPM had problems with supplier and only finally got some ready to go after we already broke.
I am now looking at making a better/stronger rocker set up as I already knew we were on edge of how much the 8mm adjusters screws can take with the spring pressure on the roller cam thats needed and this proved even though the rockers are 15 years old really they aren't good enough for this set up either.
Plan is to try again end of January on Sick week which is based on Florida start were car is now stored :)

cheers Richie

For that Rocker Problem and drag n Drive. How about a very Low Ratio Rockers Like 1:1 for the Drive and a tune for that. So you have way less Stress via driving. Just switching Rockers and tune before and after the races.
Just my 2 Cent.

I did wonder that too, but assumed it would be against the rules?

That is possible, but it would still need to be a custom made set up as nothing available has the strength even at that ratio or the adjuster screw on pushrod end
