What a trip... today was the first Drag Day that I've attended since the last one held at O.C.I.R. back in the early '80s. It was good seeing a few of you there and also nice to catch up with some old friends that I haven't seen in over two decades. Here are some random images from the day for those of you whom of which couldn't make it out for the event. We were blessed with great weather... since we had the threat of rain and/or high winds like the previous day.

Susy, next in line for the burn-out box.

Saw an old childhood friend there with his turbo car.

Mike & Bill

I know this car has been around for a long time, but I never tire looking at it.

Awesome to see old car names like this still goin' at it.

Mexican is my favorite food. Thank God for King Taco!

Bill's burrito, completely stuffed with wall-to-wall carne asada.

My plate of tacos.

Haven't seen this car since the last time I went to Drag Day. What a surprise to see it again, after all of these years.

Stephan S. updated me on the car's history since then. Thanks, Stephan!

Herr Sarge's lighting equipment. Somewhere, I have shots of my car from this angle/closeness. Dates back to my fascination with car's headlight designs.

While the racing and swap meet areas were happening, the parking lot hosted a few neat cars.

As we walked by this, my girlfriend said, "Mark, I'm gonna get you that for your next birthday party." HAHA!!

The scary thing is... I still enjoy the bloody things.

Clyde, after one of his passes.

I'll bet most of you didn't know; but Cal Look vintage electric carts are SO right now.

Impressive lil' Fiat.

Tastefully done Manx.

Nice red car.

Another one makes a pass.

Some serious silver paint.

I've been away for a few years... but I noticed this trend at the track, today.

Clean '65 Notch.

The Bill & Steve's car getting ready to make it's early morning run.

The Hunsaker car with Ron Fleming behind the wheel and Dave Mason as "crew chief" ran what would have been a 10 second pass on a 1/4 mile track on it's first pass.  The day turned out beautiful after being cold early on.

Thanks, Rick... but wait, there's more:

Rog's '67.

The girls were representing.

Susy Herbert.

Nice black Oval.

Another view of the peach colored car. I prefer my cars to have clean and stock colored undercarriages. However, this is how many of the show cars presented themselves during the '80s.

Some of us rode in a short bus... these people must be way smarter than me, for they're driving a long bus.

Random car driving through the swap meet area. Sorry for the bad quality... I was walking and didn't take the time to properly focus and light this shot. D'OH!

Neat lookin' buggy.

Let's see some more pics! Sarge, have you any more? Those are cool that you've posted, so far. Don't hold out, man.

NICE!

Really liked that early Ghia. I thought that the three piece bumpers & taller bumper guards didn't come into play till '59 or '60. Then again, I forgot most of that stuff. It's been too many years since I was behind a parts counter.

Thanks, Fabian. To answer your question, no... I don't have the pics on a site. I actually took them for the people that couldn't attend Drag Day. I figured since this website is the best Cal Look one on the 'Net, I'd contribute. Unless you're referring to where I'm hosting the images, maybe?
