got some nice fat swayaway torsion bars from a special delivery (thank you so much Gunter!!!) and have installed them right away. even got some time left to go to the 'braderie' (open shopping day) with my wife and son.
all i hope now is that the car doesn't sit too much when the engine will be installed.

got a couple pics of the other work i did:

put in the empi steeringwheel with modified hornbutton (no rear cover, which i miss..) and connected the 'Zach tach'

some euro flat lenses (my first effort in weightsaving on the car)

I had a "small" list off things to do:

fix cracked exhaust
service brakes
service engine

But when working on the interior off a AC at work today, I decided my car needs one to for EBI
So now the list also contains:

respray interior Done
make new custom dashboard Done
buy and install carpets
make door and quarter panels Done
recover those panels
...

If all goes well this could still be done...

Lets se now, the car has a motor and I have a GPS to know where i´m going. Picking upp Brorsson thursday and we will be at Chimay friday. No race car this year, ready at SCC. Quite nice not to have to work in panic to get things ready. If anybody runs in to trouble I´m sure I dont mind working a bit even though i`m on vacation

well i am just not going to be able to complete my list... a big bummer, i will not have my engine ready for EBI...

got on the phone with Steve yesterday and it looks like the engine is not going to happen before EBI. so i am still considering different options to find some sort of engine and get there with the car, but racing seems to be a longshot. unless someone has a spare race engine he has no use for at the moment.
it is a big disapointment as this event is one of the few places here in Europe were i will be able to race and it is not going to happen. i even can't come in the car at the moment.
we talked about it yesterday and we both came to the conclusion that the engine a flaw that would not make it reliable at all and could mean the engine failed and make a big hole in my wallet without being able to have enjoyed it. so it is a sad thing, but a wise descission to better not rush things.

so if someone needs a racerticket... or a driver (apprentise) OR a masterplan to safe my day please let me know.

You can complete the race engine for SCC and race the shit out of it up here in august!  Grin
