Yes it does! Undecided

I used to drive my '63 everyday with an "aronson style" decklid. In Belgian climate. I always had a roll of ducktape in my car for when it would start to rain, then I taped the hole shut from the inside.
The many times I forgot were followed by a lot of cursing and swearing when the car wouldn't start because rainwater had poured straight on (and in!) the distributor cap!

I was not really sure about Shubee's lid idea at first, but now I am looking forward to see it painted and on a car. Maybe there is something to it after all....  Smiley

Build a car for yourself, not for everybody else.. It might look really cool on the right car..  That being said I like a lot of different cars, so we don't need to start that discussion again  Wink

Holmes or Aronson?
Yah, I personally don't like the frenched in plate area. To me , it crosses the lines with the american hot rod scene to much. But your right, if you like it that's all that matters.

One thing I do notice is that there seems to be 2 main types of "Aronson-style" 1=with the ridge and 2 without the ridge

Anyone know anything more about this  Huh I have noticed that Aronson's car DID NOT  have the ridge  Smiley

In the 80ies the german beetle custom company "MTM" produced those fiberglas deck lids.
They called them "Lohhof"

However other creations of MTM aren't cal look style but famous in these days...
