As always guys...

As the title says....

I am looking for a Original NoS (NewOldStock) DDS full-flow Oil pump (see picture)

Gary has advised me to use one on my SPG engine, I know there are a few "Second-Hand" pumps on thesamba and I am waiting to see some more detailed internal pictures but I would LOVE to buy a NoS pump for this engine....

I know someone has one  Wink Smiley

Oh well, you said you wanted a NOS DDS oil pump, that's what I have and that's what I took pictures of, the box wont keep your engine from seizing Roll Eyes  I should have known not to bother with you

Why are you limiting yourself to a NOS one? The EMPI filter pump I used wasn't NOS, as a matter of fact the pump and the filter/cover weren't even a matched pair. But I blueprinted it and it worked perfectly.

To be honest I just "Wanted" one but I might just use a New berg pump to be safe  Smiley

Lee

I found a lot of nos stuff that's around nowadays is nos because it crap it wasn't up to scratch when it was made in first place and so it didn't get used back in the day, good used is sometime a better / safer option IMO

Why is the box so important ?

Yeah you are probably right dude, And after talking with Ian I will Probably go with a Berg pump (30mm minimum!)

As for "Box" its not really Important as such but in my eyes this is what makes a part NoS.... Check out some of the NoS stuff I have for sale.... Boxed & with the original brown paper etc etc

You see SOOOOOOOO many parts described as "NoS" its ridiculas! I have even seen parts with Silicon/old-gaskets/oil etc described as NoS....

For me a NoS part is still in its original packaging/box etc.....

Think of it like this... If you went and brought some "NEW" barrells & Pistons from a manufacturer and the guy handed you the parts with NO packaging at all.... Would you be happy?  Undecided Smiley

actually i understand what you are saying, i build my 2276 and kept all the boxes and plastics just if i sold it i could prove it to be build with new quality parts. BUT that is horseshit to say the least. no-one cares what box it comes out, i don't even want to pay for the box or the decal, if it is a good part and it is what you need, that's what I want to pay for.
