Hi Loungers
I've to paint a set of original Empi 8 2 pieces wheels.
I'm looking for pics (70´) or advices about the original colours of spokes.
Mines are stock grey but i'd like to know the right colour to finish them.
I think that colour is light grey but i'm not sure. Or they could be sold in stock colour to be paint later.
So i hesitate.
Thanks in advance for you help.
Cheers

I've always wondered when they started offering the gold option? I have one in gold and two in black. Anyone have any idea when it was offered?

for me they weren't sold in gold , only people painted them in that color , i've never seen in any empi motoring guide that the empi 8 were proposed in gold

i did buy mine in gold, but most likely they were never offered in gold. as for the paintcode i have to look at the spray can which colour they are.
the sandcast are a bit raw in finish and the painted ones are quite smooth because the primer and paint have filled up the casting roughness and marks really good. quite thick paint and pretty hard to remove.
but i never had a paintcode for the original grey.

I recall you could buy the one piece copies in gold.  Rocket comes to mind.
