If attending this car show, do not pass up the Rathskeller http://www.rathskeller.us/, a Family owned and operated dining inn and authentic Bavarian pub, the Rathskeller has been there since 1978. At any given time, you will find Edith (Mama) serving authentic Bavarian dishes or Monica and Axel tending bar, serving fresh German beer on tap.

Do not believe all of Axel's bartend stories (lies)  Grin But do leave Axle an nice tip, for an extra full liter of beer Cheesy Shocked.

Loni (Papa) can be found every Friday, Saturday and Sunday singing and delighting you with his musical talent and extensive repertoire.  Roll Eyes

There is a saying (song) enjoyed by many European cultures:

"In heaven there is no beer. That is why we drink it here."

Relax and transport yourself back to a 19th century northern European pub.

Trinken gut und lange leben!

Prost,

This looks like a cool event! The Alpine Village is a perfect spot for a VW gathering.
No entry fee or judging either, suits me just fine!
Putting it on my calender.

61SNRF,
Check the location again. OLD WORLD - Huntington Beach, not Alpine Village - Torrance.

Thanks to Da Kine Kampwagens for staging the event. Met some good people and had a lot of fun. Look forward to getting together again soon.
My vote goes to Alley Cat Ale Cheesy

Bruce  / AKA   61SNRF  found the Beer tasting....Lost Coast brewery sampled 7 great beers.
Popular vote liked the Alleycat Ale, while I myself really enjoyed the 8 Ball Dark Porter !!
Some of the host club guys & gals had multiple Great Whites which were tasty !!
