Title: Street Lethal
Post by: vwcab on September 29, 2008, 10:47:48 am
Yesterday ,I was looking into old pictures i took at Bug Jam '90.
There were racecars like Tickled Pink,Bugbear and K.S. orange fastback, but it was a foto from "Street Lethal" that caught my eye.
Yes I know,it's a 1303(with roofwing),but it was realy fast.It was sponsored by Autocavan and driven by John Brewster.
My question now is,what happened to Street Lethal?Does it still exist and what about John Brewster??
I hope someone has an answer! ;)Grtz,Peter.

Street Lethal became an oval! :o John Brewster started to rebuild the car, with a handmade beam, rack and pinion steering, ladder bars and other trick bits to try to get it even quicker, but it wasn't finished. It was put up for sale as a rolling body and pan, but IIRC it was broken up and the chassis was sold without the shell. The new owner had an oval shell to put on it but I don't know if it was ever finished.
