hi guys,
got my parts a few days ago,
so thought i d share some pics

these are the things i have right now

dpr welded stroker( got a woody on that one Smiley )
manton PR's
serrano PR tubes
magnums strait cuts (got a woody on those too  Tongue )
cb 5.5 h-beam rods vw journal
sump
equaliser pulley
cb wegdeports
cb 1.4 rockers
cb light weight wrist pins
mahle 94b's
scat 8 mm studs

thats about it Cool

finally gettin closer......

guys,
the sump i got is the wrong type...
it s a 1 1/2 quart, instead a 3 1/2 sump
would this effect the oil cooling a lot if i keep it?

 Sumps aren't the most expensive parts. If you're not in a hurry, put this one up for sale and buy a 3,5qt...
 I don't know whether it's really necessary...

 Just curious, but what size crank is it that you use? And which lifters?

I have a welded 74 mm in my engine... Peter aka 'ruff' told me the size of the crank he has, and it's bigger than 74... what size exactly I forgot. Roll Eyes

lifters i dont have yet;
but i think i will buy udo's, so i dont have to worry about break in;
my engine will be megasquirt fed, so i can tune it right after the first startup
i ll have to start from scratch when tuning, so they will hopefully give me a peace of mind Smiley

I'm also working on a Megeasquirt engine, but just an 1835cc for now. What types of TBs are you going for? I will be using one centrally placed plenum.

i think i ll buy the TBs from CB;
on my 1700 i had the ones i m selling now; 40 mms from amt
i'm staying with the megasquirt, because its fun tuning your motor with a laptop:)
only if there were TB's that looked like IDA s Smiley then i would have best of both

 There are!!

 Jenvey's and Redline Weber have IDA TB's... and some others too...
 (but someone advised me to look for other TBs than Jenvey's)

Hey Peter,

they do exist, those TB that look like 48 IDA's. I found them on the web and are produced by Jenvey Performance in the UK. Just check out http://www.jenvey.co.uk/.
These TB fit IDA intake manifolds, have almost the same dimensions and are obtainable up to 50mm...
A belgium company called AK Sport which is based in Brussels can deliver these nice TB's. They are not cheap, I allready ask price for IDF style TB in 48mm and cost 625 euro/pair.

What's the price for your current TB's?

my tb's alone were about 400, without injectors and filters
i paid 250 for the injectors
i think the ida bodies almost look the same as idf bodies;  and they cost alot more!
nobody has some junk ida's that i can use as tb's?  Grin
