Hi Douglas

Looking at the paint in these pictures . I reckon its simply a Fuschia metalflake Body ( which is an original Manx colour )  masked up with yellow painted around panels . Should be pretty simple to replicate .

When I hear Purple Potatoe Chip, I think of Bud Whitfield. Search his name and Purple Potatoe Chip on the interwebs. I was lucky enough to meet Bud and have him build my Automatic Transmission for the T34 not too terribly long before he passed away. You can even search this forum for him.
