Title: Fuel pump limits? Bosch 044
Post by: Erlend / bug66 on January 23, 2018, 13:16:14 pm
Hi,

I'm currently running a single Bosch 044 (real one) on my turbo engine. It's on AN8 from tank, AN8 to the engine, AN6 in the engine bay and AN8 retur to tank.

I'm upgrading my engine a bit during the winter, but nothing that will make another 100hp.. (yet)

But.. Should I also get my second 044 mounted? I'm thinking dual AN8 feeds from the bottom of the tank, AN8 "Y" after the pumps to the rear.

Anyone out there with MORE than 400whp on a single 044? Running E85.

New 2200cc injectors should deliver 525liters per hour. A single 044 is around 220 liters per hour..

And yes. I've googled it and all the different forums have different opinions..

You can't have too much overkill right? Looks like your injectors eill outflow that sucker at about 45% DC. Doesn't sound like a winning combo to me.

Hi Erlend,

i had Problems with an Aeromotive A1000 when i switched to E85 in the 650hp area.
Depending where you are above 400hp i would add a second pump..no Problem when you have some safety in this area.
Also i Run Dash 10 feed line from fuel cell  to pump to Y-Piece.

Cheers,
Basti
