I have a set of 98 mm Oettinger cylinders that I have kept as potential project items.
With less and less time, I am now parting with these vintage gems.

I have my own bore gauge and positively enough, these are not out of round or worn at all.
I am not in my workshop for some weeks so the exact numbers can be given by end May.

The pistons are inlcuded but are of three different styles.

The one to the full left is original virgin Mahle. New and untouched.
2 pistons are machined flat and also the top piece ring gland above ring number one is reduced in diameter.
2 pistons are flat but not reduced in ring gland.

In my opinion, it is only the new piston that could be used.
My idea was not to use the pistons at all but rather order new ones as to my liking with new rings from JE.
Anyway, They come along with the buy.
24 mm pin.

Fredrik.
IŽll take those off of your hands, so you get mere room on the shelf.
I will send you an Email.

Torben,
I like your attitude. I need less stuff, more shelf space and money.
Now a nice norwegian jumped on the offer quicker than you.
Lets see, the deal is I take more detailed pictures, measure upper, middle and bottom cylinder cylindricity and send him the result.
If he is happy, the deal goes through.
If not, I will share the result with you and you decide.
All in around last week of May.

This is the result of my measurements.

Cyl 1
upper 0.01 mm
lower 0.01 mm

Cyl 2
upper 0.01
lower 0.02 mm

Cyl 3
upper 0.02 mm
lower 0.04 mm

Cyl 4
upper 0.06 mm
lower 0.03 mm

This not cylinders that can be run "as is". They need honing but I have no idea if nicasils can be honed this much.
If not, they need re-plating and this is an expensive procedure, that is if you do not have some special contacts.

Arild and Torben, let me know if you are still interested?

Some additional pictures, even if I do not think the pistons should be re-used. Specifically not the three that have reduced upper ring gland diameter and height.

I do have another set on hand if these didn't walk my way, so I guess I will go for them. Torben, they're yours!
