What kind of lift? I had a Clay Smith 320 with Pauter 1.4s with almost .600 lift on Comp Eliminators with .200 longer valves and the stock covers cleared, even with the bulky billet rockers. I would rather dimple the stock covers than bolt on a inevitable oil leak. |

But why would you vent the valve covers? Breather box? I probably won't be running an electric pump, so venting at the case in the fuel pump location isn't a real likelihood. I'll have to find somebody that has a set already done or that can do the welding for me, since I do not possess this skill. Lol.  |

What valve adjusting screws are you using? The only time mine ever hit was when I used the adjusting screws that came with my Scat rockers, I used the BUGPACK shorter screws, and problem solved...

Hey Dominic, I'm using Berg rockers with there adjusting screws, BUT, I think I found my problem, my geometry was off, figured it out last night and redid it this morning. fixed the problem with taller lash caps and a reshim, but need to try the valve covers. BUT I still like the idea of the Bugpack race valve covers, now it's for looks. It's kinda Old School Thinking of wrinkle paint them with the polished rib's. Goes with the 3 1/2qt. Berg sump that I got from Berg sometime back that was black anodized with polished ribs. Still in the process....  |
