It's a shame about Flashback... it was just too ahead of it's time... but we have wised up!! (thanks to your book!) ...now it would have sold in a flash.... at least here in Europe.

BTW: Nice roofline on No Mercy to!

The photo was taken back in June 1977 – I was 22 (23 in July). That was my first wife, Sheree, in the background. Car was a 1954 ragtop with a 1700 with dual 40IDFs etc. on a '67 floorpan.

Hair – oh yes, I remember hair. And flared trousers!

I still remember one Volksworld Show a few years back, talking to Keith while standing beside a nice black chop top Looker. And then Keith said: "Oh, by the way, have you seen Flasback?" "No, where is it?" "Here, next to you!" At first I thought Keith is joking, then I was speechless... so many hours in the paint booth... and now it's black... or was...
Anyway, still like the roofline of it!  Cheesy

I think it was a 78mm x 92mm with a Bugpack crank, Rimco Super Rods, Pauter Machine heads, 9.0:1 CR, 42x37mm, Engle FK89 cam, Magnum gears, Manton pushrods, Pauter roller rockers, Berg oil pump and full-flow, 48IDAs on Scat Traks, Vertex magneto, S&S header, A1 muffler. Made 187bhp on dyno

It was a long time ago, but I think that was it!

The second picture was taken in Holland,wen you sold it to a Dutch guy.

Great pics! The third one was 'Flat attack' - the first Turbo VW drag car in the UK. It ran a best of 10.84 secs at 132mph in 1989.  Smiley
