...was built back in 1976 by a german guy-type 1 based engine, 2.2 litres, 48 IDAs and twin spark ignition(!). Twin spark was generated with a modified Alfa Romeo 8 cyl distributor and "home-made" heads. Exhaust ist an original empi header with glass pack muffler.
Engine was raced in a buggy in the late 70s on the first german quartermile events and porduced about 180 hp. I don´t know much more about the detailled set-up, but I´ll find out..

Unfortuanetly owner won´t sell the engine-I´d love to mount that thing in my 65 after a complete rebuilt.  Tongue
