Top notch work Danny!!

So... how do you sand inside the vents under the rear window?
I've seen so many "nice" cars over the years but that area was overlooked / ignored / forgotten.

Thanks for the progress pic's!

Opps, I was talking between vents. I need a very tiny helper to get between. Thanks again john.

Ya call me crazy, I relocated hood pull tube inside wheel well. All the years painting vws I always hated sanding the rear vents under rear window and sanding around tubes brackets wire ties etc....  Got rid as many as possible, Less cuts on the hands

You're crazy. Just kidding... hey, Dave R. brought up a good point; what your plans for the intake vents behind the vertical grille under the rear window? Looking forward to seeing if you have any tricks for that area.

I say you you mud em up like that front 1/4 and apron you butched up with bondo, probably wouldnt take more than a gallon or 2 Grin Grin Grin

Its not really that bad behind the vents, I had the shell of the body wallnut shell blasted before I started. So its  pretty clean. But yes if something has been painted many times, It would be very hard to clean up.

Well all flat panels have been blocked with 80-120 grit and everything else sanded with 220. And now reprimer just flat panels and then unmask and spot prime all bare metal. all steps get guild coated between sanding steps.

Hey Danny,
Your three Jacks appear to be sitting on a hospital bedside table.  Where are you?  Should I send flowers?

A lot of Incredible work being done here!  I know how much work it is to bring a car back just to original condition without all the mods you're doing, great work.
