I'm about to fit my recently refurbed 40s to my motor.

The parts I have for the build are as follows;

Venturis 32
Mains 142
Idles 52
Air Corrector 180
Main emulsion tube 4
Starter jet 80
Starter emulsion tube 3.

Should this set up be ok to fit & run to the rolling road? Just for further info I have W120 cam, 35.5x40 valves, 1.25:1 ratio rockers

Elevation?

Get some 9164.2 emulsion tubes.  You are wasting your time with any others.

Ok, thanks for the advice - the parts I had were from an Alfa.

Excuse my ignorance, what's Elevation? The only other info I can offer is the CR which is 8:1

Emuls F11
This means you have Webers.  You should delete this irrelevant info from this topic on Dellortos, it only confuses things.

Elevation = Altitude where you live.

The 52 idle jet will not work.  A 60 is the most likely.  57 is possible.
I think you will find the 142 main to be rich.  But only if you use the right emulsion tubes (9164.2).  Do not waste your time with any other tubes when this one is known to work perfectly in a VW.

You should delete your previous post.  It is confusing to have that in this topic.

I cant tell the difference on my 2110 between 9164.2 and 9164.3's using a LM1 to measure Air fuel ratio. With something mroe accurate you may see a difference

I think start with 55's and a 142main, 34mm chokes, 180 airs, .2 or .3 emulsion tubes. I know this combo wont be far off at the pod on a 1914. Mail me your 52's and 32mm chokes and i can ream you some 55's or 60's and send you the 34mm chokes.

.2's will cost you  Tongue

Cheers
Mick

Cheers Mick.

I'll bring my set up to Bug Jam, I should have a decent amount of track time to see what works & what doesn't

If you could bring your 34's, reamers & tubes that would be great
