Title: 42 DCNF Berg Specials, Berg T3 manifolds, CSP Linkage...
Post by: Zach Gomulka on September 26, 2008, 19:37:07 pm
Selling off my Berg Specials. I had these on a 1776 for maybe 30k miles, and then a bone stock 1600 for less than 10k. Ran flawlessly. Set up by Steve Hollingsworth of VW Performance. Would get 25mpg driving at 80mph all day long. 34mm venturies. They haven't been ran in a couple years, so they will need a cleaning out, but that is it. CSP bell crank linkage (the kind designed for a 911 shroud on a T1 engine), operates buttery smooth. Berg velocity stacks shortened by Sil Modesti, and then HPC coated. No expense spared! The manifolds are Berg, and have small D ports. K&N style filters. These are the PERFECT carb for a performance type 3 engine. The throttle bores are close together, allowing a straight shot directly down the ports, unlike IDF's or Dells which are quite bendy. They are also very short, giving enough room for decent length manifolds and a proper air cleaner. I am only asking $700 or best offer, and that includes shipping anywhere in the world!
