what do you think about the american racing BAJA STAR wheels
can you imagine this wheels on a cal look Huh here's a photoshop of one wheels on my car , the color is not the right one for my car  , i know that lorenzo pearson had a set on the old drino miller buggy and david mayes had 6 wheels ,those are very rare nowadays

The Drino Miller car is the only one i have ever seen those wheels on - Very Cool wheels - Painted, edges polished, and center caps on.

Very rare and only come in 6" (although there is someone who narrowed a pair to 4 I believe, I'd have to look for the website)

These have been my all time favourite wheels for a LONG time - they would look PERFECT on my manx - if you find a set Fabs BUY THEM cos they would look cool on your ride too  Smiley

I am not sure if you all know that David Mayes died a month or 2 ago. There is a thread on the samba, but his website is still running, he was a really cool guy who loved his vws, and his website is a goldmine of information.

Mate, that was mine and a lot of other people reaction it is real sad news, I have been doing deals or cross checking things with David for years. I think more information is on the split bus thread on the samba - leave a message.

I just found out last week, very sad news indeed Cry

I bothered him with many questions when I found my GTV, and badgered him to sell me an EMPI exhaust to no avail! I never met the guy, but he will be missed.
