Can someone post pictures of type 1 VW engine cases showing the clearancing of block for a 78 mm 82 mm and 84 mm crank as I am building three of them with these sizes. I am also building a 86x94 I know on this one I will have to buy the later beefee aluminum case for more meat at the top. Pictures inside the block showing where I will have to do some machining for the crank and rods to clear. In some area the cam will have to be ground down for the rods to clear.

    Thanks !!

Also depends on rod type and journal size. Steve Hollingsworth is set up to clearance cases for every conceivable combination so the minimum amount of material is removed.

Forget doing it by hand, it's not worth your time!

Thanks Zach I will send all three of them to Rimco. I may do the 78 mm and send the rest out.

No problem here I did my first engine case clearance yesterday for my 78MM crank.  Next I will be doing one for an 82MM. Thanks for all who responded to my post
