Let's see some pictures of really tidy Engine bays?

They can be a nice 'stock as a rock' 30bhp or a Monster??

What you got.......... Here's one to start. No idea who's it is but very nice.  Grin

Tim Allen's car. I really liked seeing this car when it was displayed at this year's Bug In 33. Nicely done, overall.

One of the all time best VW engines I've ever seen.

Can't leave out Mr. Schwimmer's power cosmic.

While being a Porsche 356 powerplant, it still provides inspiration, yes?

My fire-breathing 1600cc single port temporary engine, till I get my 1914cc built.

Another, would be Mr. Plummer's in his white '67. Keep 'em coming... post 'em up. Great thread, idea, by the way.

Heres my temporary engine. Engine was supposed to go into my 65 bus, but I didnīt have time to finish the engine for my 62 ragtop type1 (which I just recently finish restoring), so i put in the bus engine to get the car running.

Engine is a std. 1600 singleport engine (started life as a industrial engine - fire pump), with a pair of 32mm Solex PCI, and a 1-3/8" merged exhaust.

60hp/4250rpm - 120nm/2350rpm  .....  drives perfect with my 3.88 -0.89 gearbox - the perfect cruiser combo.

next up is getting my 2liter IDA engine back together, so I can get the bus engine back in the bus where it belongs  Grin

Those air cleaners look GREAT!!! Are those 36hp. or 40hp. units? I couldn't find any oil bath cleaners that would fit with my fresh air fan shroud, so I went with the K&N usual ones. Thanks for sharing. Very cool!

Thanks, Tom. It was gold cadmium plated, so I sprayed it black. Then, I painted the manifolds gloss gray, which can't be seen in the pic.

Phillip, those are two good looking engines. Very nicely done.

Ha ha glad I'm not the only one running an "interim" engine.  Mine is an 1835 "stocker" that is in place until the 2110 in completed.  Its a "stocker" because I have very little invested in it, so I kept it the way I acquired it.  All VW except 92mm, Kadrons, VW ratio-rockers (I think), 019 distributor, and extractor.

Altho I wouldn't really consider it to be "tidy" compared to most in this thread.

Sarge, that's scary... what happened in that top pic? Rearended? Bummer.

Glad that your car doesn't look like that, now.
