i am planning to install 914 seat into my 69 beetle.
but from personal considerations and communication with tobi, i want to make the seat tiltable to the front so access the backseat.

i am going to mount the seat on stripped regular beetle seat frames and welt additional frame work to bolt the seats on.
just like tobi did:

however, the tilting mechanism will be a bit more difficult.
i've been search the web for some tilting seat frames, but they are not easy to find and expensive, but they might serve for some inspiration.
this is one example:
http://www.classiccarseats.com/tilting-bracket_details.php

except for the tilting mechanism itself, there is also a need for a locking system.

does anyone have experiences or ideas to help on the way?
thanks!

Beard has some tilting seat mounts. They are a Manx kit. Might be something useful there.  Otherwise I'd just fab something of your own design you are already custom mounting them to the VW frames

does any have experience with these?
with are not available as both sliding and tilting.
i do have the sliding mechanism of the 914 seats, those could be fabricated on the those frames.
