I supect that my old car would be about right - 187 fwhp, 1649 lbs with me in it, 12.09 @ 109.77 - Kalle, how do those numbers look to you?

You are spot on: my ruler say 12.01 - 113mph using your HP. If I turn it around and use your ET and/or MPH to find the HP it says 176Whp to manage 110mph. And 185 whp looking at your ET and weight.

You are close to the perfect run for your race car. Congrats on that!

That's good to know!  It was 10 years ago now tho. I remember at the time being a bit annoyed at not ever breaking into the 11's, but now knowing that it was near perfect makes it better! Thanks Kalle!

Anybody who ever used one off those app's on a smartphone to see how fast your car is on the 1/4 mile?
Don't know how accurate this is so maybe there is somebody who compared it all ready to his real timeslip?

Henk!!!

When a ruler from the 60`s is working then I take it for granted that so can a app. It will depend if you are able to change gear box and hp settings (FHP vs WHP). Some even have altitude settings.

I should have explained it better i mean those app's that work on a GPS signal.
So those who that actually measure your time and top speed after 400 meter.
You can do that or see what your 0-100 km/h time is.

There is a good one called dynolicious, the phone must be calibrated first and placed level in the car, it uses the accelerometers in the phone, the GPS refresh rate on pretty much all hand sets is at 1hz. Not accurate enough.

I tested one off those app's with GPS signal on my phone yesterday.
I can not say if it was accurated as i have not been on the track with this engine.
But it gave me consistant times with 3 runs i did.
The times where not all over the place.
So maybe it can be usefull to see if you makes changes if it improves your time.
