I broke one of the brushes on my Bosch Al 82 alternator and I need a new set with the holder. If anybody knows where I can buy a new one or if anybody has a junk alternator laying around, I just need the brushes.

Thanks -John

No. The brush holder bolts onto the top outside of the alternator using 3 screws and one wire attaches to it. The brush wires are soldered to it.

This is from the alternator we swapped in the ARCO parking lot years ago. It had some oxidation from sitting in my dad's basement and I wanted to clean it up. The wires inside were super short and I tugged on the unit and broke off one of the brushes. Perfectly good alternator besides that.
