When the rear end on the bug was converted to IRS it pushed the width out, so to solve this we had Wayne Allman narrow the bearing retainers in the arms by 1 inch. The arms have also been powdercoated black, and the price includes the eccentric bushes that were specially made by Wayne also.
£250.

Can be seen in the picture below.

We should have said in the advert that the arms are not available immediately as we still need them to roll the car around until it goes away for work on the rear.

The arms are stock type 1 which Wayne Allman narrowed 1" because we found out after the IRS conversion that it widens the track! Basically the bearing retainers are cut out and moved inwards so the actual arm hasn't been cut. Also to help with the camber when running lower than stock the shock mounts were cut off and re-welded on the opposite side (basically in fitment the a arms are flipped upside down and left to right. This is the best way to get correct camber when running lower!)

We will have our complete axles set-up for sale also which uses type 2 and porsche 944 CV joints and stub axles. The stub axles are porsche 944 but still uses a vw 12 spline end so any VW brake will still fit.

So we have for sale
2 x used T2 GKN CV joints - £40 pair
2 x used Porsche 944 GKN CV joints - £40 Pair
1" narrowed Sway Away axles - £100
1 Pair of Porsche 944 Stub Axles - £40

I will post some pictures up later of the axles and CV's.

Thanks
Steve

Thanks Adele
Very keen on the Arms and the axles assuming they fit stock CV joints, fed up with my Fuchs poking outside the wings!
I assume the car ran straight with them and the dent in the picture (RHS) was for some other reason?

Hi Rich, did you get the email I sent you?

Yes the car ran arrow straight every pass and the incident was not caused by the car..

The axles and arms will fit stock type 1 VW fitment no problem.

Hi, No problem. You can paypal us at sales    @ vintageair     .co.uk (you get the idea, had some spam recently!  Roll Eyes )

The CV joints are available now, the stub axles will be a little while until our car goes in to start the work, we need them to transport the car. You can either pay for them all now or just the CV joints ?

So either £80 now and £40 later, or all together now Smiley

Thanks Adele.
