May, 2014 Hot Rod Deluxe

Just a quick note to mention that this issue of Hot Rod Deluxe gives our gang some good coverage!

First off, our own Don Lindfor's Blair's Anglia has a great picture in the coverage of the GNRS. I'm in love with that car! Having grown up in Pasadena, I'm partial to anything that came out of Blair's Speed Shop..................

Second, in the same article, there is a great shot of the Lightning Bug and the Berg's Black '67 in the "VW corner" of the GNRS, with Drew Hardin's words giving big time notice to the fact that VW's "were a vital part of the gas racing scene in the 60's and 70's."

Lastly, in Dave Wallace's article, "Where Have All the Gassers Gone?", there's a great picture and a couple of paragraphs on the Thunder Bug.
