The second fastest pass by a beetle in the UK "ever" I believe only moody 2 went quicker once and it was half the weight.

How did you get on Jay? Smiley

Backed up 10.51 on a test pass testing the new competion engineering floater clutch system.  Went to do a full on pass sunday and blew all the fuses on the fuel pumps.  I thought one had siezed so packed up and went only to find out it was a burnt cable on the primary injectors.  Never mind I`m out again at action on the peak performance day.

Holy sh*t!!! 900 Nm Shocked

What gearbox holds up that much power??

The examples given of other Pauter engines. Are they all running on the street like Russ'?
Dom Pauter's Ghia runs with 1:8 CR in N/A on the street, yes, but that hardly compares to Russ' 650hp engine imho...
Its the street running part that impresses me most I must say. Total respect for that and nothing comes even close to that performance imo!

Ahh yes I see that now.
I wonder if you can oil cool heads? Like the old Suszuki motobikes did.

it took a while but got there in the end .
the gearbox is a short nosed G50 porsche .the heads have had a jacket welded round them to water cool them on the road
at the moment the car is only running on shell optimax so the power is down to 500 at the wheels and torque is 530 pounds
will probably turn it up at the next meet as it still handled well
