Seems to me that he has some work to do to stiffen his rear suspension.

True. And with everything on film it is easy to see and correct. If it drop that much on the street you can be pretty certain it will be worse when you drop the tire pressure and give it 3000 more rpms in the launch on a prepped strip.  Cheesy

Love the topic and whated to join my fellow Cornpanzer's with video of the Palmer Boy's.  This car was at the first ever DRKC gather (pre-DRKC) in 1999 at Palmdale.  It's not driven much on the street these day's other then a few test passes and at the track.

Here is a pic of my daily driver Roll Eyes only kidding Grin although it is street legal it doesn't see the road as much as it could, this is more about me being a wimp than the car not being streetable.  12.77@104 mph to date.

Thanks for the pic Julian

Cheers

Very Cool Ron  Cool,
back in mid 70s remember seeing it parked at the Auto Haus, Tustin and Katella.
Along with Mike Dunphy's various air cooled cars.
You guys ran a very nice Auto Haus too!
Thanks for the help back when I was 17.  Wink

Here's what happens when a street car blasts off against a race car  Cheesy

Fond memories of having an average club racer...speaking of which.

Anyone recall DKP member Dave Patrick's car?  A fasty at the time.

The yellow early oval? If so, it was in KS's latest California Look book, and there was some discussion about it's end here: http://cal-look.no/lounge/index.php/topic,1112.msg223744.html#msg223744

But even at a run what you brung/test n tune you are told you must at least wear long sleeve top and long trousers,it amazes me how often you see even a pure racecar video and the driver isnt wearing gloves.I guess they will learn after its too late Shocked

I know i should have been more carefull, just when this pic was taken it was only my second run ever down the strip and was excited to be there and didnt think about what could go wrong! Did a 13.2 on that pass i think and that was enough before it went to the show n shine field were it scooped best of show . Twas a good day!
