One of a kind 1956 Oval hardtop.
its time to move on from owning this car for over 25 years, the car is very solid, no rust on the pan or anywhere else I can see, the doors hang nice and straight, the front hood has a basketball dent and I do have a NOS front hood that will go with this car, many item are one off, Berg custom shifter, 5 point roll bar, Folts trans, type 3 rear brakes, lowered front end, louvered W deck lid, monster tack with unique mount, european headlamps, large fuel tank, the black paint job should be re-done, RX7 seats, Mallory fuel pump, -8 braided line from front to rear, 14" Porsche fuch in front w/michelin 145's, Rear 15" fuchs w/michelins 205's, wheel adapters f&r, engine: 1641 dual port IDA's. polished manifolds, lighten flywheel, scat rockers, AS41 case, 1" 5/8 header, dual S&S mufflers, alternator, 36hp doghouse.

this car is an original cal-look from the late 70's early 80's, raced, daily driven and garaged for 90% of its original life, I am the 3rd owner and the pan # and body match, the registration is up to date, this car has never been wrecked or crashed.

It's Tom Costello's,  Brother of Andy Costello the late PRA racer.  Tom also worked @ Berg's for a bit if I recall correctly. Car has been around for a long time. It is everything he sez it is.    Bill

Tom is a very nice guy, he helped me FREE when I restored my IDA:s.
The before picture of the carbs is on his website now:

In the end the looked and worked perfect even if he told me they were one of the worst he had ever seen!

Sure its a Cal Looker, Its a Cal Looker circa '81 or so ,not '75.There were MANY cars just like it back then. The So Cal scene has had different changes, again I point to Hot Rods .Is a 40's style highboy more of a Hot Rod than say a 60's style highboy like Tom McMullen's? No just different. Same with Cal Look beetles. It is just a representation of a slice of time.
Going to add 1 more to the collection Russell ?
