Dang, what a beautiful car! Hope she ends up with a loving owner. Interesting chromed door hinges. Wish I had the money, I'd love to buy it and put a stock width front beam on it. Car looks good with or without bumpers.

Hi Fred, the hinges aren't chromed, they're covers as supplied from new by some VW dealers. Also, the front isn't any narrower than stock; the 2" compensates for the dropped spindles and discs...  Tongue  (it looks slightly narrow due to the original wings and 4.5 fuch)

I have some great memories riding in that car when Steve Beecher owned it.
I hope it finds a good home.

-Thanks Bill, I reckon if I sent it back to California, stored it and then drove it while on holiday I'd still get more use than I do at the moment...
    . . . hell, maybe that's a plan...  Cheesy

Thanks for the education, Steve. Sure is a good lookin' car, at any rate. Sorry 'bout that... I'm an old dinosaur and like the front beam width stock.

Just curious about the dome light lense. Never saw one with that pattern in it. How was that done?

Being as low as it is, with a stock width beam the tires would rub Undecided
