Title: Getting a value?
Post by: stayster on April 20, 2019, 05:17:24 am
I am Thinking of selling my 1967 VW Bug convertible.

[attachment=2]

Trying to get an-idea of the value of it.

I built this car 20+ years ago.

Body work was professionally done.

Car has the following:
Top is a Haartz Stayfast canvas
Dropped spindles-(CB)-along with a narrowed front beem and Avis adjusters
Karmann Ghia Disc Brakes up front
Type 3 Big Brakes out back
Camber compensator in rear. along with Straps to keep the swing axle to keep from tucking in.
Chromies are my Wheels

Engine and Trans are stock

Car has been stored inside since it was completed. Paint looks as good now as it did the day it was painted.

Trying to get an idea of what its worth and the best place to sell it?

Stayster thanks for posting. We'd have to see a lot more photos of the car to know the condition and the value. If I had to take a guess off your description and the one photo, I'd guess anywhere from 12k-25k. More pictures would definitely help to narrow that range down.

By the description you've given and the photo, I'd guess you're in America. That means that the best place to sell would be www.thesamba.com - if you can't find it on their classifieds, it probably doesn't exist!

Mind you, I'll take it off your hands for $500, but only if you pay the shipping!  ;)
