Clean shop too ... obvious advantage to not having to use body filler! Cheesy
Really nice D-man.

My eyes are old, so Danny... are those real EMPI 5 spokes that are sand blasted? I hope so... 'cause they sure look great on those pics. Car's coming together very nicely.
Thanks fred, They are NOS that I cleaned with aluma-prep and filed, sanded and had hector at al-brite polishing, redo the lips. Then had a guy machine some new caps that I Had  ingraved GAB-FAB. Spent lots of time on those silly wheels Thanks again for noticeing.

Now for the reason to get it off the ground ! I needed to get to level so I could polish paint around bumper areas, Where after bumpers are mounted will be hard to get buffer into and rub paint.

Now a few shots of bumpers mounted. And yes I know the rear over rider tubes are 67 and the car is a 62. If you new how many hours I hammered and metalfinshed these bumpers you would use them to, Please look close at them if you ever see car. After striping chrome off the parts they where spray with lay-out dye and a file ran over all surfaces till real straight and all peices where fit and gapped very closely. Even after they where copper plated I got back and block sanded then sent to hector at al-brite polishing, Hectors one of the best polishers I have ever met. After all that back to get plated. Back to why theres 67 overriders, I am not going to do the car after all.

Indeed, This is a very nice car.  Very subtile.  Just clean, a nice set of wheels and this rocks like hell.

Well done.

Thanks guys on no 67 jokes, I just dont have it in me to do any more rear bumper parts at the time. I will be useing repo stickers on the caps going on the 60 car, I had the caps machined from a hunk of alum for the cow-look car, If you look close they are ingraved GAB-FAB ! Again thanks for all the great feedback, Hopefully I will finish it someday !!

I have some sweet rusty bumpers that would create an unexpected contrast on that car.  If you're willing to really push the envelope, that is.

I broke loose all hardware on tranny and shifted it till mount was even on both sides. Then ground pad to fit. And tightened eveyrthing back in place.

If the pan was not painted I would have welded peices on that the red pad seats on, I am not going to be winding this thing up to 10 grand and lauching ! So holpfully the pad will last. And the two large allen bolts in front of tranny on pan , They are or it is a adjustable torstion houseing.

Ya, Thats what happens when your down to stems and seeds ! Mark I bought the adjustable section from mekensies in anaheim , Kinda like auto haus for the off road guys. Kinda a bitch installing. You have to cut out everything around it, To get to where you can weld new one back in. That and cutting the stock one out square!
