On my 66 it's real close and there had to be brackets to drop the mounting holes down, I will be swapping to something like this when I have the chance.

I was referring to the photo of the Doug Bergs custom made 3.5 sump w/wind -thru -windows.. Wink

Hey Art, the one in the picture must have been one Doug did at later date. He originally made 2 custom sumps when I was working there. He got 4 sumps, 2 were scrap. From 2 sumps he made 1 DEEP sump with square type tubes that went through. Bill got one for his car when it was there at Bergs when Doug was working on it. The idea was more capacity of oil, and better cooling with the tubes. Get ahold of Bill or talk to Mark V. The other sump IS at bergs. I believe they ran it on Dee's motor on her 67', but not quite sure. It is pretty trick.

That sump is on the engine in the pic's, and those pic's are taken at GBE.  The sump leaked when it was dyno'ed at GBE.

Might sell it, but I'll have to take a look at it again

wow that turbo engine of yours looks really good Kalle!

and does the GBE engine have layed-back manifolds it looks like it but i want to be sure. can someone tell me if IDF manifolds with 48 IDFs or Dellorto's will clear a late-model coolhouse? or what needs to be done to either?

Agreed... there's a dirt spot on the shroud.

Oh wait... the dirt is on my computer screen.

Lots of eye candy in here... lol Grin  I wish I would have some spare time open up and some warmer temperatures so I could get out, clear out the garage and try to start making headway.

Upon looking at some of the engines in this thread, I was wondering do those off-the-exhaust stud oil filter mounts fit in full-bodied cars?  I'm intrigued and interested in this set up, just wanted to know if it would be viable in a street car.

I had to cut the fender well and notch mine to make the Jaycee mount fit. We then had to make an extension about 6-7" out for the filter to rest at an appropriate place
