We're thinking about going to Norway on holiday with my wife and son (3years old) in Aug 2012 so we can also come to the SCC ;D. It's not the cheapest country to move about, but you can get alot done. For instance a trip by car around the bottom 1/3 of the country is nice :) Hotels are not cheap, but you could rent small cabins at local camp-sites. Thanks for the reply. I went to SCC in 2008 and it was a blast ;D. Now my wife wants us to go to but as we have a little son (3years) it's not ideal to stay in a hotel ::). She also wants to see something else then old Volkswagen's 8). So we were thinking about renting a little house to stay not to far from Gardermoen so we can go to the event for 1 or 2 days. gr Wout Title: Re: Holiday in Norway aug 2012? Did a lot of research and the most reasonable way for us would be: drive to Frederichshaven (1100km) with a stop overnight in Hamburg or so when needed take the ferry to Oslo drive to Gardermoen or nearby (max 100km or so) ;D We would leave on Tuesday or Wednesday, so we're looking for a rental house or so (Little cabin on a campsite) from about 15Aug until 22Aug. gr Wout Title: Re: Holiday in Norway aug 2012? Still some problems to book, not easy without creditcard >:(), so still waiting for some mails to be sure everything is OK.
We're from Friday until Tuesday in Norway (near Oslo), so would like to hear some nice things to do after SCC ;).
