Title: No more burnouts in drag racing from 2018... Good news! Post by: Fastbrit on August 15, 2017, 22:31:47 pm Not a joke. New MSA directive for sprints, hillclimbs and drag racing aimed at reducing pollution (burnout smoke or chemicals used to soften tyres). To be in place next year.

By having them connected to an engine? (basically a burnout) ?

As they could not find one, they have now 'clarified' the situation by stating 'by any means'...MSA events means everything except the RWYB meets - so imagine a Top Fueller going down the track (or trying to) without doing a burnout. Result: a pedalfest as the driver comes on and off the throttle. A great way to kill a T/F motor... Title: Re: No more burnouts in drag racing from 2018... Good news!
