Once upon a time, there were three guys from Switzerland who travelled to Norway to check out the Scandinavian Cal Look Classic... Go to http://www.luftkraft.ch for the rest of the story  Smiley

Wow - thank you very much for sharing your amazing pictures! You guys are crazy driving from Kristiansand up the "wrong" way before going over Suleskaret towards Oslo.  Smiley The roads in Norway are not famous for their quality but this road is almost as bad as it gets here. Glad to see that you had nice weather and that the sheeps tried to polish your car.

I hope others will have a look at your road trip and feel the urge for coming to SCC next year... I hear that big things will happen in 2008......!

Thanks,

BB

Oh and by the way - behind this wall you will find water... and a power station. This is the reason why this road excists. It was never supposed to be open for public until someone found out that you can go from the West Coast to Oslo in almost half the time compared to driving around the coast

Claude, Paolo very nice pictures and story. What a nice roadtrip!
Sounds like a nice addition to your trip to driver over the mountains instead of the "boring" E-18 :-)
I assume you will be back next year? :-P

Cool report mark!
After almost 3000km in the North, it was a big shock to "roll" again on very crowdy swiss Highways. We had a wonderful time in Scandinavia, and I would repeat it every year! Next year maybe with a much less sexy airplane to Gardermoen?
My special thanks go to Jon and Vegard for the nice award (actually I don't feel crazier than you, as many of you attend regularly VW events on the continent, maybe driving even longer than what we did), to Claude and Mark for the amazing and funny trip, to Oystein for the very friendly reception at his traditional burger party, and to Magne for driving us extra to his mate near Sweden.
SCC was a blast, actually not as big as DDD but with a true, destillated cal look spirit!
