Title: Fine thread head stud pitch please
Post by: spoolin70 on April 18, 2013, 13:24:51 pm
Hi all in lounge land

Anyone happen to know the thread pitch on bugpack 'race' fine thread M10 head studs (head end) ?
I've got a M10 x 1.25  nut and a M10 x 1 nut.
Stupidly I got them mixed up, one only winds on a couple of turns by hand, the other goes on all the way but is super loose (loads of play).

Somebody mentioned to me it may be 9mm threaded (?)

Anyone know the answer, imperial possibly ?

Thanks
Darren

Hi

They are 3/8 -24 UNF
BTW as 3/8 is 9,5 mm M10x1 has allot of play.

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated.

And the M10x1 nut that should be an equivalent 9.5mm making it loose makes perfect sense.
Loose nuts ain't good !

Thanks

Finer pitch, more clamping force= lower torque value. ;)
