Hi guys,

I have found this 5-speed "self assembley kit"  Wink

The pre owner said that it`s a gene berg 5-speed.But I am not so surely about this point. On the pic`s I saw from the berg one it looks a diffrent:

http://www.glenn-ring.com/resto/resto5.html

My case has a logo in the front nose with ITE as a cross (look first pic). And the between-flange looks a different. The screws go through...
Is mine a berg one no or? An real early prototype ?  Grin
To me there is only one other 5-speed known. It`s named true-shift.
Any infos about 5-speed conversions would be fantastic ! Not so many out there for VW boxes as I know.

Let the good times roll,Felix

hmmh, looks that not many are working with 5-speeds...Are there any declerations for that ? I think that the big advantage is to get a better close ratio with more potential to go faster on longer traveling.

Mine is for 99% no G.B. I have found out some more VW 5-speed suppliers:
r&n engine&trans, cb-performance
They mainly coppied the first prototypes of G.B.

Go on&on,Felix

Might be a Mikey 5 speed.  It was a copy of the prototype of the Berg 5, but had a few flaws.  Call Rancho and ask.

One of my shafts is a broken. But I think that could be reconstructed with a build after original crank.
