I remeber the white 66 with polished and black gasburners of DKP (Henry Ölekoers) back in 92 but was it the first one...................The paintshop roller wheels!! Smiley

The first set that I recall on a Cal Look bug was in '85 or so .They were on a light blue '67 owned by Mike Kukar (?) .Painted & polished as you see them today. A friend of mine Ben Pecci had some on his '66 in the late 80's. I sold Henry the wheels on his '66 back in about '90 or so . Back then they were pretty much worthless. The most I ever paid for 4 was about $180. Another set  I painted & polished them & they looked flawless & I had a hard time getting $400 for them. Look @ the prices now...     Bill

And Henrys wheels are the ones on my vert now,bought them from him back in 99,cheers richie,uk

I bought a set of 5 from Karmann Konnection for £500 12 years ago.

Fully restored I loved them the only thing I didn't like was the thought of damaging them on a kerb o and polishing them every second day.
They were worth more than the car Grin
