hey Max -- on xav's ride you'll find an early talbot (just like mine) check picture

ps. i think OBUS is not a brand but a name refairs to the model -- like BULLIT mirrors -- 'cause the shape reminds a bullit or for the frenchies an obus

Hi Turtle,

Jelle said it already: I dosn't matter where you mount it – you are not seeing anything! So in the end place it where it looks good!  Smiley
I have one on my Ghia and I know what I am talking about!  Wink
Cheers,

Hi!
Hereīs an image of the mounting position of my Talbot. There are lots of different versions of Talbots around, and in my opinion only a few are suitable for bugs due to their size. Many of them are simply too large for a tiny bug door Wink

thanks.

I think the mirror that was shown by flatfire in one of the later postings (the wrinkle-painted one) seems to have nearly the same shape and size including the adjustable foot like mine.  I donīt know if the black one is a good copy of the one I have or if it is an original "Talbot" Mirror...By the possibility of adjusting the housing of the mirror as well as the angle of the glass it is even possible to see cars behind you with this model-could be important in case of cops rolling behind you Wink

While I was reading this topic I thought by myself wait, I got such a mirror lying here in the garage. I asked my dad about it, he says it's from the 60's/70's. I looks like the mirrors from this topic. Is Talbot a brand or a type of mirrors? On my mirror is a small stickers which says: ''Acero Inox Reguvis Patentado'' What do you think about it?
