Title: Bolt The 56 Rag Top
Post by: santacruzxxx on April 03, 2020, 11:26:50 am
Picked up a new project a couple of months back. It's a 56 Rag imported from Misourri in the US. My daughter has named him Bolt!

Body has been dipped and E Primed and is super solid for a 60 year old car. Heater channels, 1/4 panels, doors, etc all super solid. RHD dash has been installed at some point and done to a high standard.

Needs little bits of welding here and there and 2 new floor pan halves.

OG front wings with bullet indicators (no semiphors as it's a US model).

Picked up an IRS rear end and fabbed some alignment tools for the IRS brackets to be installed on the floorpan.

Little bit of repair work underneath front end where the top of the beam sits against the body.

Very nice body shell. Was it on eBay recently?

What’s your plans for it?

Thanks and yes it was on Ebay Sept/Oct last year. Had to wait a while before I picked it up as the NOVA registration hadn't been completed.

Plan is for a full nut and bolt resto, IRS rear end, Lowered, rims, built engine/gearbox and then drive!

Rear of heater channel had been caved in (probable used as a jacking point!). Drilled out the welds, straightened the panel, rust proofed and welded back in.
