Ha ha... The car was built in Pasty County hence a little lardy  Grin
The driver has also succumbed to the dreaded pasty curse and now tips the scales at 100kg. Just as well we have adjustable boost to compensate  Cheesy

Udo, it's not all steel as Danny can confirm ? From memory it has fibre wings ,fibre bonnet and decklid -  and lexan instead of glass in the windows so this all helps get it down to the 690 kgs.

820  kg with me (70kg) So car weights about 750kg with really heavy IC, laptop with holder, all metal but lightened doors and door windows. body is widened too.

I dont know why its so heavy but it will be worse because I'll install type 4 engine with two times bigger turbo.

Dang! How do y'all get them so light?! LOL

My 'streetcar' weighs in at 1950 (~886kg) with me in it.
Our Unlimited Street class dictates minimum weight at 1700 (~773kg), and I'm gonna have a hard time getting down that low with proper safety ...  Huh

UDO!

What have you done to the car?  I think you have added at least 70 maybe 80 kg?

:-)

Now I would not drive that car today with what I have learned since then. It was pretty dangerous to be honest in the late 70īs to mid 80īs.

Seriously you're all light weights!...Compared to mine 2200lbs ish or 1000 kg with me in it! i only weigh 76kg so thats not the problem!

It is an all steel 70s bug, lexan windows apart from front, with bumpers, all trim, full interior, turbo type 4 and 915 box.
Does that sound about right or do i need to look for some hidden lead weights somewhere?!!!

Rich I bet those wheels and tyres together with the 915 add about 150lbs to a normal bug,is it a steel or moly cage, its funny that the cars with the type 4[you & Patte] in are the heavyweights, must be something there Cheesy
