Title: 15X6 ERCO WITH 4" BACK SPACING..WILL THEY FIT UNDER STOCK REAR FENDERS? Post by: Stephen schmidt on July 11, 2018, 00:52:06 am As the title states. I have 1 1/2" widened rear fenders, but it wold be great to run a stock width fender if possible.
The car isn't together yet so I haven't had time to mock it all up. Just curious if it will work! Trans is a short axle with type3 5x130 drums. Car: 1959 VW Beetle Tires are M&H 26x15x6 Slicks. Thanks! Title: Re: 15X6 ERCO WITH 4" BACK SPACING..WILL THEY FIT UNDER STOCK REAR FENDERS? Post by: neil68 on July 12, 2018, 05:54:19 am I have CMS 6” wheels (CMS produced the ERCO wheels). Mine are 3.5” backspace with short axles and with M&H 215/65 drag tires it fits just nicely under my stock 68 fenders. So you should be fine with 4” backspace.

Same with 7" ET23 Porsche rims and 205/70 tires so I guess you are good to go on stock fenders. Title: Re: 15X6 ERCO WITH 4" BACK SPACING..WILL THEY FIT UNDER STOCK REAR FENDERS? Post by: Stephen schmidt on July 12, 2018, 17:57:35 pm Yah, I was thinking it would be fine! Most people run 15x6 with 3.5" pack spacing. So the tires would tuck in another 1/2" and the type 3 drums are a hair wider, so it might wash in the end.
Thanks guys! Stephen Title: Re: 15X6 ERCO WITH 4" BACK SPACING..WILL THEY FIT UNDER STOCK REAR FENDERS? Post by: Neil Davies on July 13, 2018, 07:30:50 am If you have adjustable springplates you could have clearance issues on the inside of the tyre. You could always run a small spacer to find tune the position of the wheel.
