I love the psychedelic rally paraphenalia that DKP did in the golden era. Sarge, weren't you behind a lot of the artwork?

Very cool.

Thanks for sharing pictures of the car, Fabs.

Thanks for the props, Jim ;)!  I'd forgotten about that Amorphia plaque... it's been a long time.  I did do most of the fliers and plaques for a few years and the 70's "culture" influenced a lot of my stuff.

Hi All;
Arnie is still around all be it in Nebraska. I remember only how he was affectionately know to do Mr. fishface, more of a you had to be there to get it.  I know all the guys remember that gage well.
As a fellow ?67 owner we had that in common, and as the younger members we had all the sh*t jobs, like the sweat box at the DKP Carlsbad Drags. Which meant we passed out the time slips to the racers, the problem was it was around the corner from the end of the 1/4 finish line and because of that we spent all day out there and could not see the track at all.  We only had a direct phone line and were told what to write on the time slips, along with it could get hot and no one volunteer to relieve us for fear they would get stuck out there in our place.
Another responsibly was getting the club display built. I know Arnie was always there to help, as seen if you go to the DKP web sight and scan the pictures, I see Arnie in more than a few of the work day pictures, all fond memories to me.
As for his car, I could not answer who painted it, nor what motor size he had. I would say there is a good chance he ran a 1700, with 48IDAs as it was the motor of choice.
