How many days you got Ron? you can go the long way round, up to Yosemite, down to death valley and across to vegas the back way in, quite a journey but well worth it as the normal route is mainly just freeway only got two and a half days Richie. To totally agree with Keith, Red Rock Canyon is amazing. It's a little hot here in LV today-100*, and possible thunderstorms for later in the week, so weather plays into what you might wish to go do.
