Lowered cal-look can be cool, like the DKK late model (the light grey one, with polished Rivieras, can't find the pic anymore).

And I hate those words, "slammed", "stanced", used everywhere for everything.  Grin

HAHA!! I'm with you on that, Nico. Never heard of stanced. But bagged, dizzy, slammed... etc. That stuff just makes me laugh. Nothing like trying to reinvent something, yes? God forbid that we leave well enough alone.

Dale, your poor car... how were you able to drive without front wheels/tires? Weird.

But why are you sad about it? Your car looks great. You managed to achieve a muscular look without being forced to use over-sized truck tires which would rather not work as well as the ones you have now. I would say it's a good thing.

Dale's car looks really cool with its new stance, nice work buddy. Look forward to seeing it with its next dose of hardcore POWER Smiley

I dropped the front end of my bug a little more, but still not too low, I like being able to see the tyre in the front wing.

Rears may benefit from a taller tyre? Its currently a 225/60 hoosier street ET.

Put bumpers on your car and it will be very nice, not cal look but very nice (for those who love low cars too)  Wink

What about innovating and not following everybody else?

It's your car, nobody prevents you to lower your car here. I like "slammed cars" like you said few times ago, that's why I say now I think your car can be cool with bumpers, just a question of taste.  Wink

At the risk of being labeled a heretic and shunned.    The Tar Babe just doesn't look right!

You're not alone on that one. First time I saw it, last year, I thought the same thing. The car in it's original form sat right, though.

I like the stance on Fred's baby blue car above in his signature.
The Orange car stance looks like someone lowered the front an inch too much and then did not lower the rear enuf or at all.
I will admit the orange car stance was just how my first VW looked the day after I had my select a drop intalled and cranked as low as I could get it.  Cheesy It looked right in the eyes of 16 year old.
Fred's two cars in his signature have different rakes one is bound to be correct, right?  Wink

Major components in the front beam was changed on thursday at EBI. Perhaps this pic was taken just after the car came down from the jackstands?

That would explain it. But like ladies I've known, the Babe appears to have to have gotten wider in the beam with age  Grin

PS. I wouldn't comment if this car wasn't so iconic.
