hey thanks for all the help on the engine. it have taken the car for a spin this weekend and it runs good, stil not great because i can't seem to find the right timing of the distributor ( i set it at 7.5 static) and it runs OK in higher rpms but does't pick up on lower rpms. so at what ° do i set the 019? i time it on the cam with the timing marks on the type3 pully.
and when i pulled the leads there was only a small spark... that is why i wanted to know more about the red bosch coils.
anyway i would recommand the 019 over the 009 anyday as far as good response is concerned.
the carbs were cleaned with some air and seem to have found their habit of running great again.
i am happy
