Is a November '52 engine out of the question?
I have a complete running engine here that is just collecting dust. Was used until a few years ago.
Engine is Nov '52 (early zwitter) but has been used in a split and been "backdated" with split fanhousing, carb, distributor etc. Good original single pipe exhaust.
I want £600 for the engine, sure we could find some sensible way to get it to the UK.
The split parts would be sellable for a decent amount of money..
I have a few pics that can be sent by email.

Anders

Sounds good.

I love all aspects (well most anyway) of the old VW community and find some kind of poetry in the fact that Mr "Europes quickest & fastest backed up VW doorslammer" is on the hunt for a date correct 25hp engine.  You'll need a whole lot of them to get the cab running  ;D

FBI VW had a split front wing on ebay. Passenger side on a rhd car.
Not 100% that's the side you are after though
