I was the only one to be lucky enough to have the opportunity to take this picture of two of the most historically important vehicles from the Gasser era together with no one and nothing else around to spoil the illusion that this could well have been the 70's.
It sums up perfectly what EBI is about, recreating historic moments from the past, through the whole show and atmosphere.

and seeing Darrell Vittone drive the Gasser Garage homage to his Inch Pincher 1 car, like it was only weeks since he drove a car like this, not years, was an historical moment that he seemed to thoroughly enjoy.

Even cooler then, sorry for the confusion, I saw the cars at the top of the strip and never noticed them, and when we drove past on departure when these photos were taken I saw out the corner of my eye....

And if there was a DKP style award, this car would have won it in my book congrats to the owner.

BTW, Thank you it was a pleasure Grin

Typing this for Dyno Don who couldn't log in on the Lounge here in Belgium, he's staying with me till tomorrow.

Dyno says this award was presented by himself as the event organisers had asked him to choose the car for the Dyno Don award that best summed up what is a real true bona fide Cal Look car with proper fit, finish and presentation. The BRG Oval was really spot on and he says he loves it, he would take the car home with him any time! :-) Not sure Greg, the owner, would agree on that one though! Testuke did a shooting of it las Wednesday at Pat's and it should appear in Street VWs magazine soon.

Dyno says his second best choice was the 67 white Cal look that belongs to Johan from DKG. Car got an award at DDD last year. He says it's absolutely bitchin just like the party that was put together for the Bug In legends and DKP guys by the DKG club on Saturday nite :-):-):-):-)

Amazing shots Jo.
I really love the ones you got from the strip end: they represent the b-side of the EBI  Wink
I hope to start as soon as possible to work out the films (120 format) that I've taken in B/W and colors also.

Enjoy Bug-In

At the cruise night in Waterloo, 3 of the DKP members that were in attendance (Me, Troy Palmer and Steve Beecher) picked that car as our favorite, and gave the owner one of the coveted magnet dash plaques.

As promised I started working on the films 120 format that I used during the Bug In lived, "photographically speaking", as in the 60s  Grin.
Here are some color sample size 10x10. I hope you enjoy pending developments in black and white that I will do at home.

Have a nice back in the days
